The Mohawk Valley has lost a truly wonderful man. This loss makes me go back to all of those years spent as leaders in Scouting. Gar was great with the kids. He could always be depended on to bring out his guitar and sing a campfire song. I served as a leader and on the staff of Camp Russell for many years. Gar was generally available to participate in whatever needed to be done. He and Nina were also neighbors at one time. Such a great couple. I valued their friendship and always will. Be at peace in God's presence.

Dear Gary, Kim, Gregg and Carin,
We are so very sorry about your dad. Losing both parents in such a short time is so very sad.
Regretfully, we are unable to attend the service. We have a previous commitment to attend a luncheon in Oneonta. The Mohawk coach (60 years ago) has invited a group of former students to attend a reunion.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your sorrow. May God comfort all of you.
