Rest in peace Uncle Dougie. Your long battle has now ended and peace has found you. Shine bright in the night sky, watching over us all. Love you.

Time and miles separated myself from seeing many relatives in the dairy country were I was born.I can still remember the fond memories of stopping by the farm to see Uncle Fred & Aunt Eva & Doug when I was very young. Being a hunter and fisherman myself, I only wish I could have shared some good stories of the big ones that got away.I stopped by his home this past summer and got to spend a little time with him and tell him that he was on my mind and not forgotten.I guess I will have to wait until it's my turn to join him to cover the stories that we did not have a chance to share. Rest in peace cuz... Love ya, Dick

Dear Cousins,
My sincere condolences. Although our family moved from Frankfort when I was five, we loved going back to visit our country relatives. I remember Doug as one of my teenage cousins who was nice to us little kids and fun to be around. Even then he had a hearty laugh. I wish I had gotten to know him as an adult; I moved to California in 1977 and have only been back to the Frankfort area once since then, for Aunt Pat's 75th birthday. Rest in peace, cousin Doug; you and your loved ones are in my thoughts and prayers.

Doug was a good friend of my dad's. ironically, my father, Roger Slaughtet died the same day. We grew about three miles from the Augar family . Now the guys are farming it up in Heaven. RIP Doug.
