Ilion - Mrs. Sharon Ann (Stevenson) Lennox, 74, of Ilion, passed away, Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at her home. She was born in Gouverneur, NY on November 2, 1948, the daughter of the late Darrell and Esther MacTurk Stevenson. She attended Gouverneur Central Schools, and graduated with the class of 1966. She was married to Warren Lennox on December 18, 1982 in Ilion. The two shared a blessed union of 37 years until Warren's passing on August 12, 2020. Sharon was employed as a Guidance Secretary with Ilion Central School for many years. She enjoyed music, golf, swimming, bike riding and going for walks. There was nothing she loved more than family and of course, the NY Giants. She loved her friends , enjoyed spending time with her sisters and loved being with family, most especially her son and granddaughter. She adored her husband and the two shared wonderful memories together. She is survived by her loving son, Steve Billings and his wife, Amy and her beloved granddaughter, Ainsley of Dolgeville; her sisters, Gladys Pollina and her husband, Thomas of Mount Airy, MD, Joanne Strobel and her husband, Eric of St. Johnsville; her step-daughters, Dana Lennox-Tate of Greenville, SC and Kristin Lennox of Ilion; her grandchildren, Karlee Tate, Joseph Tate, Joshua Appley and Meghan, Michael Fahey; her great-grandson Kaden Appley, and special nephews and nieces.  She was predeceased by her husband, Warren Lennox and three sisters, Mary Nier, Karen Jenkins and Brenda Nowacki. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 12:00 PM from the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, 100 Otsego St. in Ilion. Interment will follow in Armory Hill Cemetery in Ilion. Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 27 from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home.
