Ilion - Mr. John Lavern Parker, 50, of Ilion, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, May 29, 2023.
He was born in Rochester on May 13, 1973, a son of Rhonda Parker. He was at one time employed with McDonald's in Ilion.
He is survived by his mom, Rhonda Laporta of Ilion; two brothers and one sister in law, Jason Laporta of Ilion and Patrick and Janelle Rendich of Oregon; one sister, Heather Duesler of Herkimer; and his aunts and uncles, Crystal and Ricardo Zubrzycki, Brian Parker and David Parker.
In keeping with John's wishes, there will be no public services. He will be laid to rest in Armory Hill Cemetery in Ilion with his grandmother, Janet Smith at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, 100 Otsego St. in Ilion.
