Mohawk - Mrs. Maxine Kelly, 77, of Mohawk, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Maxine was born in Eloise, Michigan on July 17, 1945, the daughter of the late Harry Mcqune and Mary Gertrude Faloon Knisely. She was married to Ronald Kelly on December 5, 1982 in Clinton, NY. The two shared a blessed union until Ronald's passing in 2013. Maxine was employed as a Baker for Hemstrought's Bakery in Utica for many years. She was a social butterfly who loved to spend time with her family and friends. Maxine is survived by one son and daughter in law, Jeff and Nancy Reeves of Alabama; one daughter and son in law, Shannon and Shane Kelly of Ilion, NY; two beloved grandchildren, Heather Reeves and Shea Kelly; two brothers, her twin, Max Knisely and his wife, Marion of Nevada and Ron Knisely of North Carolina; three sisters, Mary Jean Haden of Wisconsin, Connie Benson of Saratoga and Sue Burdick of Whitesboro; sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Leo Knisely and two sisters, Kay and Betty. Her funeral will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 10:30 AM from the Church of The Annunciation, 50 West St. in Ilion where a funeral service will be celebrated by the Father Paul Catena. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, 100 Otsego Street, Ilion, NY 13357.
