Ilion Lucia A. "Lucy" Hight 80 of Ilion, passed away on Tuesday April 27, 2021, at home with her family by her side. Lucy was born on September 12, 1940 in Jordanville the daughter of, the late, Anthony and Mildred (Snyder) Smaldone Sr.. She attended Ilion schools and had several jobs throughout her life, but none more important than being a wife, mother and grand mother. On October 15, 1955 she was united in marriage to the love of her life Lloyd "Red" Hight, he passed away on November 26, 2015. She was also a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Utica. Lucy is survived by her three sons Ted and his wife Judy of Ilion, Dale and his wife Patricia of Schuyler and John and his wife Judy of Ilion; her daughter, and caregiver, LuAnn and her husband David Young of Ilion; a brother Anthony Smaldone Jr. of Frankfort; eleven grandchildren and 21 great grand children, with three on the way. She also leaves several nieces nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by a brother Lewis and two sisters Myrtle Spencer and Helen Jennison. Lucy's family wish to thank Lori Regilski for all of her love, help and compassion in caring for Lucy. A graveside service for Lucy will be held on Saturday May 1, 2021 at 11am at the Armory Hill Cemetery in Ilion, Pastor Paul Banister will officiate.
