My thoughts and prayers go out to Carol's extended family and friends. We were classmates and friends from East Frankfort elementary until Ilion high school graduation. We had many school bus rides together. As can be seen in her 1st grade photo her warm smile never changed. She always cared about others in whatever she did. (Carol is the first person from the left on the second row) .God bless you during this difficult time..

Carol was my neighbor when I grew up in Ilion and she was our first babysitter. Growing up as the only girl with four brothers, I loved when Carol was at our home because she helped balance the dynamics! I remember when she would put Dippity Do (sp) in her hair and then use empty orange juice cans with the ends cut off to roll her hair up. I always wondered, back in the days before curling irons and hot rollers were available for our homes, how the girls got their hair to look like that! Thanks to Carol, I got to vicariously be part of her teenage lifestyle and was fascinated. Carol was kind, funny, and even though she was still in high school, she was mature enough to handle the spirited and mischievous Doty boys! Her brother Keith, my classmate and friend, was blessed to have Carol as a sister and a friend. My sincere condolences to all of the Dennison family.

This obituary was a beautiful tribute to Carol. I worked with her for many years. And after my retirement more than 18 years ago, I would see her monthly at retired Ilion Central School luncheons. She will be missed. Grace Osborne

Sharon was such a sweet lady always lending a hand and giving kind words to all. We shared many laughs and fond school memories. I will miss seeing her around the village and at all school functions.

Carol and I became good friends working together for many years for the Ilion Central School District. We enjoyed our trips to NYC with other good friends and were lucky enough to enjoy an extended trip to San Antonio and New Orleans. I will miss her at our dinner clubs and retiree luncheons. She was a good friend and will be missed by many. Rest in peace, girlfriend.
