Flossie Seelbach, 72, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Faxton-St. Luke's Health Care, New Hartford. Flossie was born March 14, 1943 in Salisbury Center, the daughter of the late Ernest and Mildred Condon Congdon, she attended Dolgeville Schools and on April 4, 1959 she married Lyle W. Seelbach in the Herkimer Methodist Church, Lyle passed away August 21, 2009.
Flossie was employed at Herkimer County Cheese until retiring to take care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, a job which she truly enjoyed. She looked forward to spending time with her family especially at Christmas time when everyone was together.
Flossie is survived by a son and daughter in law Lyle and Pratoom of Richfield Springs, two daughters and sons in law Sandra and Donald Smithson of Mohawk and Rhonda and Dan Archer of Frankfort, two brothers and a sister in law Ross Congdon of Dolgeville and Ernest Jr. and Janet Congdon of Salisbury Center, her sister Beverly of Dolgeville, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In keeping with Flossie's wishes there are no calling hours and the funeral will be at the convenience of the family Friends are asked to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society, 100 Lomond Ct., Utica, N.Y. 13502. Arrangements are with the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Otsego St., Ilion.

The Whiter Funeral Company was started in 1893 by H.A. Whiter and was originally located in Forestport, NY. Following a fire in Forestport, the family relocated in Ilion, and reopened the funeral home in the early 1900's.
