John Peter Westervelt Jr., 66, passed away on Friday September 26, 2214. John was born in Jamaica, Queens on October 5, 1947 the son of the late John and Albertine Westervelt, he attended school there and was employed as a bus driver with New York City Transit until his retirement. John was united in marriage on December 22, 2000 with Maureen Heffernan.
Mr. Westervelt is survived by his wife Maureen, his son and daughter in law Christian and Justine Westervelt of Colorado Springs, Co., his daughter Persephanie Westervelt of Brooklyn a step son and his wife James and Erin Higgins of Cypress, Ca. and his sister Nancy Padilia of San Francisco, Ca.
In keeping with John's wishes there will be no funeral or calling hours.
Arrangements are with the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, 100 Otsego St., Ilion, N.Y.
