Mohawk Date Line Patrick W. Donahue, 62 of 644 Rockhill Road, Mohawk passed away peacefully at St Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica on Tuesday June 17, 2014 due to a brief illness, with his loving family by his side. Pat was born February 24, 1952 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Richard and Eileen Maury Donahue, and received his education in the Ilion Central School. On January 1, 1994 Pat was united in marriage to the former Deborah Reed in Ilion. Pat was the owner and operator of Donahue Trucking and Excavating, serving the Mohawk Valley for many years. Pat was a member of the Ilion Snowdrifters, an Associate member of the Ilion VFW post 920, and an Associate member of the Mohawk American Legion. Pat enjoyed life to the fullest, enjoying demolition derbys for many years, camping, drag racing, bowling and spending time with his family and close friends. He loved to snow plow and was always there to help. He was always the one to make everyone laugh and smile with his great sense of humor. He was a friend to all and always there to lend a hand and had the tools, gadgets and guidance to offer. Pat is survived by his wife Debbie, his children William Donahue and his wife Angela of Ilion, Heather Jackson of Ilion, Lori Donahue of Ilion, Jacqueline Patterson of Ilion, Sara Donahue-Maley and her husband Tyler of Ilion, and Chad Donahue and his wife Cari of Ilion, his twelve beloved grandchildren Tyler, Brittney, Christopher, Sean, Zackary, Erin, Reegan, Blake, Brody, Mason, Kiley and Jaxson. Many inlaws, nieces & nephews. He also leaves behind his longtime friends, Ron Bunce, Rich and Cindy Armstrong, Bob and Cheryl Conkling, his cherished dog Rosie and special helper Elwyn Sutton. He was predeceased by both his mom, dad and longtime friend Corky. A special thank you to St Elizabeth's ICU Unit for their care and compassion during his illness. Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours for Pat to be held on Thursday June 19, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, and on Friday June 20, 2014 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego Street, Ilion, Pat's funeral service will be on Friday June 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM from the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc., with Rev. Robert Wollaber officiating, interment will follow in the North Columbia Cemetery in Ilion. Friends are asked to consider memorials to the Herkimer County Humane Society, P.O.
