Herkimer Julia Dutcher Scram, 95 of 690 W. German St in Herkimer, passed away on Sunday June 8, 2014 at Valley Health Services in Herkimer. Julia was born on May 3, 1919 in Herkimer the daughter of the late Jacob and Rosalia Pirtco Korba. She was a 1937 graduate of Herkimer High School and worked as an assembler at UNIVAC until her retirement several years ago. She had a love for animals and enjoyed volunteering her time at the Herkimer County Humane Society. Julia is survived by her son and daughter in law Ron and Mary Dutcher of Ilion a daughter and son in law Joyce and Anthony DaSilva of Menden MA; a brother and daughter in law Adam and Lucy Korba of MD; a sister Tillie Keisel of New Hartford. She also leaves four grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Kyle, Nicole, Adam and Jessica, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers Joe and Nick and sisters Helen Donadio and Ann Workowski. Graveside services for Julia will be held on Thursday June 12, 2014 at 11am at the Mt. View Memorial Garden in Little Falls; Rev. Victor McKusick will officiate. In keeping with Julia's wishes there are no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego St. in Ilion.
