Dear Dianne, Sheila and Matthew: I am very saddened and shocked by your father's death. The last time I saw him, ironically, was at my mother's (Olga's) funeral. Whenever I visited my Dad in Tennessee, we would call him. Just a couple of weeks ago, my Dad was here in Tucson visiting, and we called; he was happy and full of laughter. I have many fond memories of your Dad. He was always sweet to me, Carole and Lisa. He always had a smile on his face and seemed to be eternally happy. He would help anyone with anything he was able to do; always offering help and expecting nothing in return. He also went the extra mile to make any new member of the family a special gift from his amazing woodworking skills. I still have the clock he made for me, and I treasure it. My dad, Vince, is also in shock, as he was very close to your dad. Our entire family is saddened by the loss of our Uncle Bill. I am sure he is resting in peace and has joined your mother in heaven. Take good care of yourselves. We will always remember the loving father you had.

Dear Matt, Sheila & Diane,
Words cannot begin to express how sorry I am for your loss. Some of my fondest memories are of the Bill & Ted duo rewiring my house in Ilion. Dad was always smiling. Your parents opened their hearts to me and my family and I'll be forever greatful. I'll always hold loving memories in my heart of both your parents.
Please know that I speak for not only myself but my entire family that our prayers and love are with you at this time.
Love Colleen, Jusuts & all the Phalen's

I lived across from the Preisches on Spring Street in Ilion when Bill was courting Audrey. He drove a coupe with a rumble seat and although he was proud of his car, he never raised his voice to us neighborhood kids if we touched his car, not even when it was third base for our kick-the-can game. I stayed at the Preische home with Audrey's younges brother on their wedding day and later babysat a few times when Diane was a baby and they lived on Otsego Street near Steele's Creek. They always paid well! May they both rest in peace.

Dear Dad,
We have never been, huggy kissy kind of guys. I guess we shared our love in different ways - a gesture, a deed, or a simple drive by to make sure everything is ok.
I am devasted by losing you, but at the same time so grateful for always having you. If I can aspire to half of your greatness, I will have lived a full life and be a good father in my own right. I miss you and I love you and will always strive to be like you.
Love,
Your son,
Matt

Pslam 23
The Lord is my shepard,
I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures: He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul: He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I fear no evil, for You are with me. Your rod and staff they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have annointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all of the days of my life. And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen.

Matt and family I was deeply saddened of the loss of your dad. I spent alot of time at his house. I will never forget when he and your mom would leave me all the left over candy canes from their Christmas tree which they would let us decorate. Why they did I dont know. I have many items that Bill made me out of wood. We bowled with him, and had many great times together. Matt you have been a friend for years, if there is anything you need please let me know. God Bless you all in your time of need.
