Ilion
Irene Annetta Feuerstein passed away on March 2, 2014 at the age of 94. She was born on October 17, 1919, the daughter of Harry and Annetta (Hocking) Loopman, and was a lifelong resident of the Mohawk Valley. She was married to Robert E. Feuerstein on August 24, 1942 in Columbia, South Carolina.
Irene leaves behind her beloved son and daughter Larry (Marianne) and Betsy (Brian), she also leaves behind granddaughters Tracy Casanova, Erin Murphy and Kris Parker; great- granddaughters Amber Cordeiro, April, Carlie and Bree Casanova, Allison Parker; and her cousin Dorothy Garnsey. She was predeceased by her husband, her brother and sister-in-law Bob and Fran Loopman, nephews; Terry and Tim Loopman, cousin Henry Loopman, and many dear and cherished friends.
Private services and burial will take place in the spring and be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations in Irene’s memory to The Mohawk Homestead, 62 East Main Street, Mohawk, N.Y. 13407, envelopes are available at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego St in Ilion.

About Us
The Whiter Funeral Company was started in 1893 by H.A. Whiter and was originally located in Forestport, NY. Following a fire in Forestport, the family relocated in Ilion, and reopened the funeral home in the early 1900's.
