Ann M. Treen 75, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Mohawk Valley Health Care.
Ann was born July 24, 1938 in Frankfort the daughter of the late James and Rose (Peruzzi) Minosh, she attended Frankfort Schools and also was a graduate of The Utica School of Beauty Culture. Ann was united in marriage with Robert Treen on January 7, 1961 at St. Mary’s in Frankfort, Bob passed away July 6, 2013.
Ann was first and foremost a loving mother and wife, she enjoyed cooking and an occasional trip to Turning Stone. In her younger years she was involved with her children as a cheerleading supervisor and homeroom mother, she also enjoyed swimming. Ann was a professed Charismatic Christian.
Ann is survived by two sons and their wives Robert S. and Suzanne of New Hartford and Jon and Vanessa of Ilion, two daughters and a son in law Rosann Treen and Nadine and Dan Basler all of Ilion, her grandchildren Robert Jr. and his wife Abby, Christie Treen, Jon Treen and Maria Treen, Kiara Ferbres and Christina Basler. She is also survived by two brothers Joseph and Barbara Minosh of Frankfort and Sam Minosh of Ocala, Fl., her sisters in law Mella Brown of Newport, Edith Treen of Herkimer and Florence Treen of West Winfield, a special cousin Richard and Marie Treen also several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Kianessa Febres.
Ann’s family would like to thank Ann’s best friend and cousin, Marie Treen for her friendship and support, they were always there for each other and also a thank you to the Herkimer Dialysis staff, Dr. Casternova and the Ilion Ambulance for all their kindness and caring.
Funeral services for Ann will be 10:30 AM Saturday March 1, 2014 at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Otsego St., Ilion, with Pastor Joseph Chamberlin officiating. Friends may call Friday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.

The Whiter Funeral Company was started in 1893 by H.A. Whiter and was originally located in Forestport, NY. Following a fire in Forestport, the family relocated in Ilion, and reopened the funeral home in the early 1900's.
