Ilion Mary Jean Fake, 89, of 6735 31st. Way S., St. Petersburg, Fl. 33712, formerly of Ilion, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013. She was born on September 5, 1923 in Ilion the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Farrell Lynch. Mary Jean was educated in Frankfort and was a graduate of Potsdam Normal School, she married Earl Hughes who passed away in 1967, she then was united in marriage with Lon Fake on June 30, 1973, prior to her retirement she taught school in Ilion for 30 years. Mary Jean is survived by her husband Lon, a son and daughter in law Bill and Lewanne Hughes of Gray, Me., a daughter Mary Ann Hughes Jarvis and her husband William of Shelton, Wa., and 3 grandchildren. A memorial mass will be celebrated in the spring at a time to be announced, with final interment in Mt. Oliviet Cemetery, Frankfort. Arrangements are with the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, Inc. 100 Otsego St., Ilion. Friend are asked to consider memorials to Strive, 28 Foden Rd., S. Portland, Me. 04106, In Mary Jean’s memory.
