Richfield Springs Anna C. Helmer, 73, of Center St., Richfield Springs, passed away on Monday January 21, 2013 at home. Anna was born on June 11, 1939 in Ilion the daughter of the late Stanley and Elizabeth (De Mars) Rasmussen, she attended school in Columbia Center and had been employed as a waitress at Milannikes in Richfield. Anna was a member of the Columbia Center Community Church and was an active member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary, Poland Chapter. Anna is survived by her companion of many years John Wilcox, her children and their spouses, Debra Ann and Edward Plows of Cherry Valley, Edward Robert Fahey of Springfield Center and Sheila Marie and James Oldick of Richfield Springs, four sisters and 2 brothers in law, Mary Hamilton of N. Carolina, Edith and Cliff Wilson of Melbourne, Fl., Linda Foley of Ilion and Barbara and Fred Treen of Ilion also 19 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Stanley and 2 grandchildren. Funeral services for Anna will be Friday, January 25, 2013 at 4 P.M. at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Otsego St., Ilion, with Pastor Wayne Clemens officiating. Interment will be held in the Cedarville Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be from 2-4 Friday prior to the funeral service.
