Jane and Family,
I was very sad to hear of Lou's passing. He was a wonderful man, very kind and generous. I have very special memories of my family and Lou at Lou's Dari Creme. I saw him this summer at the Ilion Marina. He greeted me with a kiss on the cheek and hug as always. He was everybody's friend. My family and I will miss him. It was an honor to have known him.
Love, Shari Morton

Jane, Mark, and Family - I'm so sorry to hear this sad news. Lou was such a great person, and will go on forever in the memories of so many of us from the Valley. I would have to guess that if one grew up in the valley, they knew of Lou!. My thoughts and prayers are with you, and I can only wish I could be there in person to pay proper respect to an awesome human being. Sincerely, Matt Boyle.

We are all saddened to hear of your dad’s passing. So many great memories of walking to the Dairy Isle as child and with my own children when we would come home to Mohawk for a visit. Lou was a big part of what makes the Valley a great place to have grown up in. Since our backyards were sort of connected we were lucky to have the Paternoster Hill to go sledding on during the winter too. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

What a loss! This man made you, cousin Jane, a happy, and fulfilled woman, and we were so happy when you married him! Lou was immediately welcomed into our family with open arms. He radiated warmth and love to all whom he met and we felt included in that love. See you on the other side, Lou.

My heart goes out to the family during this great loss they are experiencing. I grew up in Ilion and Lous was the place to go. When we moved out of the area, and came home to visit, it was one of the mandatory places we had to go. He was always full of life and smiles for anyone who walked in the door. This is a sad day for any one who knew him or even of him.

We were so sorry to hear of Lou's passing. He was one of the most friendly person we have known. We can't help but remember all the smiles he put on the faces of children at Lou's. They loved his teasing as much as the ice cream!

I met Lou years ago when I was just an Ilion teenager going to the Dairy Isle with my friends. We remained aquaintances over these many years and he and his wife Jane visited with us when they came to CA a few years ago to see family. Lou has been a dear friend to my dad Charlie and late mother Mary Wilson for decades. My dad called and told me Sunday that Lou died and he broke down and cried when speaking of how much he will miss him. We all thought the world of Lou and I personally will miss his kind smile , hugs and welcoming words whenever I visited back in Ilion and we got to see each other. I hope he's in heaven..if he didn't make it I guess none of us will. I offer my prayers for his wife and family. I will have a mass said for him here in Las Vegas.
