Mohawk Date Line Joseph (Joe) D. Ingerham, 65, of 2 Pettingill Street, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 at his home. He was born December 10, 1946 in Little Falls, N.Y. the son of the late Joseph H. and Helen Roginski Ingerham and received his education in the Mohawk School System. On April 17, 1971 Joe was united in marriage to the former Valerie Wright in Boonville. Joe was employed as a production worker with Remington Arms in Ilion for 34 years, retiring in 2010. Joe was a life member of the Ilion Elks Lodge 1444, the Mohawk Fire Department Alexander Hose Company #1, and the Mohawk Exempt Firemen. Joe is survived by his wife Valerie, a son and daughter in law Joseph L. and Robyn R. Ingerham of Orlando FL, two brothers and sisters in law Richard and Darlene Ingerham of Herkimer, Kenneth and Alma Ingerham of Clinton, two brothers in law and sisters in law Russell and Andrea Hirschey of Forestport, Jerry and Anita Hutton of Boonville, his grand children Joseph and Kaitlyn Ingerham. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Helen Ingerham. Friends are invited to attend funeral services for Joe on Thursday June 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego Street Ilion, with Fr. William Wheeler officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday June 20, 2012 from 5:00 -8:00 PM at the funeral home, Friends are asked to consider memorials to Hospice and Palliative Care or your favorite charity in Joe's memory, Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The Ilion Elks Lodge will conduct services on Wednesday June 20, 2012 at 6:00 PM , and the Mohawk Firemen will conduct services at 6:30 PM at the funeral home.
