Ilion Date Line Barbara Chesebrough 86 formerly of 16 Concord Street Ilion, passed away Monday November 7, 2011 at Mohawk Valley Health Care, Ilion. Barb was born September 15, 1925 in Herkimer the daughter of the late John and Sara Bateman Foppes, and received her education in the Ilion School System and Utica School of Commerce. On August 10, 1946 she was united in marriage to David F. Chesebrough in Ilion, Dave passed away September 20, 1990. Barb was employed as an Accounting Supervisor with Mohawk Data Sciences in Herkimer until her retirement several years ago. Barb was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ilion, a charter member of Ilion Triangle, and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 82 in Ilion. Barb is survived by a son David of Virginia, three daughters and their spouses Debra and Raymond Egland of Ilion, Denise Mc Graw of Ilion , Barbara and Jeffrey Kotary of Little Falls, and nine grand children. Friends are invited to attend a graveside services to be held on Saturday November 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Armory Hill Cemetery Ilion with Rev. Victor McKusick officiating. In keeping with Barb's wishes there are no calling hours. Friends are asked to consider memorials to the Herkimer County Humane Society PO Box 73 Mohawk , New York 13407 or the American Cancer Herkimer/Oneida Branch Office 100 Lomond Court Utica, New York 13502 in Barb's memory.
