Ilion Date Line Eleanor Baker Kuhner, 83, of 2738 State Route 51 passed away Thursday October 27, 2011 at Faxton- St Luke's Medical Center, New Hartford. She was born August 28, 1928 in Glendale, Long Island the daughter of the late William and Edna Dingman Dineen, and received her education in the Tupper Lake Schools. Eleanor was married to Frank Baker who has predeceased her. Eleanor was employed as an Inspector with Lucus Aerospace in Utica until her retirement in 1993. Eleanor was a member of The Church of the Annunciation in Ilion, and a member of S.O.A. R., she enjoyed spending time with her family and their pets. Mrs. Kuhner is survived by a son and daughter in law Earl and Michele Baker of Ilion, two daughters and sons in law Elaine and Bill Billings of Ilion, Susan and Paul Werthman of Boston, NY, two brothers and sisters in law Frank and Erma Dineen of Ilion, Thomas and Victoria Dineen of Utica, a sister Alice DeChene of Tupper Lake, eight grandchildren and nine great grand children, also several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a grandson Thomas Fort Jr., her brothers, sisters and their spouses Bill and Doris Dineen, Mary and Roy Mase, Marion and Jim McKenna, Margaret and Joseph Haile, and Lillian and Earl Baker. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday October 31, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Church of the Annunciation in Ilion with the Very Rev. Anthony Barratt officiating, assisted by Deacon James Bower. Friends are invited to calling hours to be held on MONDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2011 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego Street Ilion.
