Ilion-Brunswick, ME Betty Marie Murray (Wardle), 86, died peacefully on July 30 at MidCoast Medical Center after a brief illness. Born March 6, 1925 in Ilion, NY, the daughter of Dwight Mosher and Mary Connolly Mosher she was a long-time resident of the Mohawk Valley in Central NY where she raised five children and worked as the executive assistant to the president of Herkimer County Community College until she retired and moved to Maine. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ernest Wardle, and is survived by her children, Raymond (Joanne) Wardle, William (Marie) Wardle, Barbara Wardle, Carolyn Weiss and James (Catherine) Murray. She was the proud grandmother of thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Walter and Edward Mosher and her sister, Dorothea Harper. A memorial service will be held at Brackett Funeral Home, Brunswick ME on Tuesday and interment will be in Ilion NY with a graveside service on Friday August 5, 2011 at 10:30am at Armory Hill Cemetery; Deacon James Bower will officiate. The family wishes to thank the staff of MidCoast Hospital for their loving care and kindness to Betty. Local arrangements are with the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc.
