Mohawk Date Line Raymond (Ray) Rickard 74 formerly of 16 West Main Street, Mohawk, passed away Thursday April 28, 2011 at Mohawk Valley Health Care in Ilion. Ray was born September 21, 1936 in Albany NY the son of Vera (Rickard) Harwick and was educated in the Mohawk schools. Ray spent all of his life in Mohawk where he was employed with the Herkimer County Highway Dept, Mohawk Data Science and Mac Donalds. He also had his own print shop for many years. Ray was of the Methodist Faith. His is survived by two brothers Richard(Dick) and Debbie Rickard, Walter and Janet Harwick, a sister Joan and David Miner, two step sisters Sara and Verne , a brother in law Eugene(Gene) Tucker an aunt Elizabeth (Betty) Harringshaw and his very best friends the Gollogly Family. Also his nephews Glenn and Missy Rickard, Steven Rickard, Phillip and Jillian Miner, Christopher Miner, Michael and Pamm Tucker, Mark and Karen Tucker, his nieces Katherine and Samuel Bianchi, Shelly Collins, Rebecca Dygert, Melinda ( Mindy) Miner, Sara and Russell Herringshaw, Amy and Dexter Hoag, and Krista Harwick. Ray also leaves many cousins. He was predeceased by a sister Eleanor Tucker. A graveside service will be held at a time to be announced with interment in the Oak Hill Cemetery Herkimer. In keeping with Ray's wishes there are no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego Street Ilion. On line condolences may be left at www.whiter-hendrix.com.
