Obituary of Arleen Kellogg

Please share a memory of Arleen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Frankfort- Arleen Kellogg, 83, went home to her Lord on February 10, 2023. She was born on August 6, 1939 to the late William and Grace (Seelbach) Graves. She grew up in Frankfort with her twin sister Doreen, sister Elaine and brother Gordon. A kind and gentle woman, her trust in the Lord brought Arleen through many trials, the final one being Alzheimer’s disease. She was formerly married to Wayne Abrams from which she was blessed with three children Deborah, Denise, and Wayne Jr. Later in life, she was married to William Kellogg and from that union she happily gained three more children, Marie, Catherine, and Laura. She loved her family and was a great friend to many. Once her children were in school, Arleen went to work in retail. This was a perfect fit as she loved people and being busy. We often teased her that if a store wanted to go out of business, hire Arleen. Arleen outlasted State St. Mills, JM Fields, Bradlees, Fays, and Van Heusen. Arleen is survived by her beloved children, Deborah (Neil) McCraith, Denise (Walter) Reska, Wayne (Brenda) Abrams Jr., Maria Kellogg, Catherine (Paul) Barbarrato and Laura (Charlie) Stockton; nine grandchildren, Jen (Charlie) Dodge, Josh (Stephanie) Conley, Jon Reska, Rachael (Justin) Romero, Kalie (Mike) Andrade, Nikki McCraith, Robert Stanley, Brock and Daltin Abrams; eleven great-grandchildren, Zoe, Olivia and Tyler Dodge, Isabella, Sophia, Lucia and Ronan Conley, Riley Romero, Haley and Charlotte Andrade and Miguel Winter Reska; her twin sister, Doreen Clute, one sister-in-law, Marge Graves, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Arleen was predeceased by her parents, her husband William, sister Elaine (Jim) LeFever, brother Gordon and brother-in-law, David Clute. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the third-floor staff at Foltsbrook Center Nursing and Rehabilitation for the loving care Arleen received there over the past eight years. A special thanks to Ruby, Annette, Kim, Ali, Jen, Melissa and Liz. Calling hours will be Sunday, February 12, 2023, from 3:00pm-5:00pm at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, 100 Otsego St. Ilion, NY.
