Ilion - Mrs. Ellen S. Ball, of Ilion, passed away peacefully at the Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Mohawk Valley after celebrating her 103rd Birthday on Saturday.
She was born in Natural Bridge, New York on May 7, 1919, the daughter of the late Richard and Grace McCoy Dutton and she attended West Winfield Schools. She was married to Stanley H. Ball on August 9, 1940 in Prospect.
Ellen is survived by three daughters, Nadeen Annutto of New Hartford, Beverly Wehrle of New Hartford and Deborah Last of Shelby, NC; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren one Brother-In-Law John and Maureen Hand of Amsterdam. She was predeceased by one son, Delbert Ball; one son in law, Ronald Wehrle; one brother, Lewis and Francis Dutton; one sister and brother in law, Gussie and Floyd Holland and her Aunt Olive Schwendy.
In keeping with Ellen's wishes, there will be no public calling hours. A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM in Kinne Cemetery in the Town of Litchfield. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the Herkimer County Humane Society.
