Richfield Springs, NY – Derick Jaeger, age 56, of Richfield Springs, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 29, 2022. Derick was born on September 18, 1965, in Paterson, New Jersey, and was the son of the late John Jaeger, Sr. and Marie (Nickas) Longo. He attended Fair Lawn, New Jersey Schools. He owned Superior Exterior and Remodeling in Richfield Springs. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and pets. Derick is survived by his daughters, Mashayla Davis of Richfield Springs, Collette (Jaeger) Meyer and her husband, Brian Meyer, and Taneil Jaeger; grandchildren, Nevaeh Davis Brashear; Mia Meyer, and Mason Meyer; sisters, Lenore Jaeger and partner, Steve, and Chris Jaeger; brothers, John Jaeger, Jr., and Chris Jaeger; and partner, Debbie Leonardo-Henry. Also surviving are his canine companions, Apollo and Bear and his cat, Miles. Derick was predeceased by his parents, John Jaeger, Sr. and Marie (Nickas) Longo and his aunt, Eleanor. Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 3:00-5:00 at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, 100 Otsego St., Ilion. A prayer service will take place at the completion of visitation.
