Mohawk Anna Teletnick, 79, passed away at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center on Saturday, January 1, 2011. Anna was born March 7, 1931 in Millers Mills, the daughter of the late Harry and Sophie Teletnick. She was a graduate of Mt. Markham High School. Most of her adult life was spent living with her sister Mary and family. Although Anna never married or had children of her own, Mary's children truly were her children. She also leaves several nieces and nephews with special acknowledgement to Cheryl Cook and her husband Stanley of Frankfort, Carol Gay and Connie Dunham and her husband Dan of Ilion and James Gay and his wife Donna of Little Falls. Anna is predeceased by her parents and brothers Michael, Joseph and Theodore and her brother in law Lloyd Gay. In keeping with Anna's wishes a graveside service will be held in the spring in Millers Mills Cemetery, there are no calling hours. Anna's family would like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth's for the kindness shown to her during this most difficult time. Friends are asked to consider memorial donations to the Herkimer County Humane Society or Spring Farm Cares in Clinton. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. "A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest.God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best."
