Ft. Lauderdale, FL – Ilion, NY Bryan T. Fischer 32, of Ft. Lauderdale, formerly of Ilion, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, May 31, 2021. Bryan was born on February 10, 1989, in Ilion, the son of David and Laurie (Devins) Fischer. He graduated from Ilion High School with honors, from Syracuse University Cum Laude, earned his JD from the University of Miami Law School and worked as an Attorney in Ft. Lauderdale. Bryan was a member of the Florida Southern District Bankruptcy Court, U.S. District Court, and the Southern District for Florida. He also was a member of Psi Upsilon Chapter at Syracuse University. He was awarded the Leaver Cup from IHS as well many scholastic awards and scholarships. He was an avid sports fan especially soccer, volleyball, baseball, and “Cuse” basketball. Bryan is survived by his parents, Laurie and David "Chubs" Fischer of Ilion and his brother, Jon of Ilion; his aunts and uncles, Patty and Jim Miller of Newport, Phil and Sheri Devins of Wisconsin, Don and Tammy Devins of Middleville, Ed and Shelly Devins of Texas, Corky and Larry Bull of New Hartford and Linda and Stan Bilinski of Salisbury. His special friends, Dennis Basler, Matt and Adam Day, Kyle Hawkins, Scott Kamp, Brian Morton, Dean Viti . . . and many more special friends (you all know who you are). His extended Ilion family, his Cuse girls and his South Florida family; his Godchildren, Hayden and Cannon Basler as well as several special cousins, great aunts and uncles. He is predeceased by his grandparents, a special cousin Erick C. Miller and several aunts and uncles. A memorial mass for Bryan will be celebrated on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Annunciation Church, 10 West St., Ilion, NY with Fr. Paul Catena, officiating. He will be laid to rest at a later date in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clinton, NY. There are no calling hours. Friends and family are asked to please consider memorial donations to the CVA Bryan T. Fischer Memorial Scholarship, envelopes will be available at the Church. All attending are asked to please wear orange to the services.
