Barbara A. Ingersoll

On 12/14/2019, Barbara Ingersoll passed away after a courageous battle with cancer and liver disease.  She was born in Ilion, NY to Betty (Kittle) and Leslie C. Hoke on December 11, 1946.  She attended Ilion public schools and went on to attend Buffalo State where she earned a degree in education.  Barb married the love of her life, Richard Ingersoll and they eventually settled in the Syracuse area. 

Barbara touched and influenced many lives through her teaching, her family, and her involvement with Hafner's Farmers Market. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.  She was predeceased by both of her parents and her son, Jason L. Ingersoll.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 50 years, Richard Ingersoll; her daughter, Kari Ingersoll; her son, Matthew Ingersoll; her sisters, Janet (Paul) Gogol and Claudia (Wayne) Perrone; her sister in law, Nancy Ingersoll (Bobby Ryland); her brother in law, Alex Ingersoll (Martin); her grandchildren, Amanda, Kaitlyn and Joshua Samuelsen; and her former son-in-law, Michael Samuelsen; and the rest of her extended family

A Celebration of Barb's life will be held on January 3, 2020 at 12:00 noon from the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, Inc, 100 Otsego St., Ilion, friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.

Barb's family would like to thank the nursing staff on the 7th floor at Van Duyn and the nursing staff and doctors in St. Joe's PCU and on 3-2. Friends who wish are asked to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St. E. Syracuse, NY. 13057
