Dolgeville Dr. Carlton E. Lints, 79, of Keyser Lake Rd. passed away on Sunday December 5, 2010 at home. Carl was born on December 31, 1930 in Ilion the son of the late Wesley A. and Margaret (Parker) Lints. He was a graduate of Ilion Schools and received his Masters degree from Northwestern University and his PhD from the University of Illinois-Chicago. He served as a Professor at DeKalb University in Illinois until his retirement several years ago. Carl served his country during the Korean War serving in the Navy. He was a member of St. Augustine's Episcopal Church in Ilion. Carl is survived by his sister Joyce Burnside of Dolgeville and his brother Wesley R. Lints of Boulder CO, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Carl will be held on Friday December 10, 2010 at Noon at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego St. in Ilion, the Rev. George B. Greene will officiate. Interment will follow in the Oak View Cemetery on Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11am until the time of the funeral, and are asked to consider memorial donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital; envelopes are available at the funeral home.
