Ilion John "Jack" Kiley Sr., 82 of 21 Tucker Ave., Ilion, passed away on Sunday May 30, 2010 at Little Falls Hospital. Jack was born on April 23, 1928 in Ilion the son of the late Dennis and Marie (Nolda) Kiley. He was educated in Annunciation School in Ilion and following school he joined the U.S. Merchant Marines serving during WWII. Following his service Jack worked for the railroad, the Ilion Board of Light and retired from the Plumber and Steam Fitters Local 112. Jack was a member of the Cedarville Beagle Club, a life member of the Marine Corps League and was an avid outdoorsman. Jack is survived by his wife Annabelle, four children Kevin Kiley of Mohawk, Kathy and her husband Douglas Doremus of W. Winfield, Deborah Kiley of Ilion and John Kiley Jr. of Utica, seven grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He also leaves a sister in law Dottie Kiley of Goodyear, AZ as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins in NY and AZ. He is predeceased by his brother Thomas who passed away 3 weeks ago. In keeping with Jack's wishes there are no calling hours or funeral service. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Jacks life on Sunday June 6, 2010 from 1 to 4 pm at the Cedarville Fire House on Cedarville Rd. in Cedarville, all are welcome.
