Marlene J. Guido Mohawk Marlene J. Guido, 74, of Mohawk, New York passed away on Monday, December 28, 2009 at Faxton- St. Luke's Hospital New Hartford. Marlene was born on August 25, 1935 in Salisbury Center, the daughter of the late Howard and Sylvia (Moore) Rogers. She was educated in Dolgeville Schools and was Salutatorian of her graduating class. Marlene had a humble and quiet demeanor, never seeking attention or acclaim. She will always be remembered for her infinite devotion to and love for her family. She was a generous and caring mother who catered to her family's needs and loved them unconditionally. Marlene married Salvatore Guido, Sr. Sam passed away in 1977. Marlene is survived by two sons Philip Douglas of Mohawk and Steven and Dina Guido of Massapequa Park, a daughter and her husband, Linda and Stephen Crocker of Utica, three stepsons Robert Guido and his wife Charlotte of Atlanta, GA, Salvatore Guido, Jr. and his wife Rita of Mohawk, Daniel Guido and his wife Pam of Mohawk also stepdaughter Ruth LaPorte and her husband Orbano of Mohawk. She also leaves a sister, Myrna Daniels of Little Falls, and 11 grandchildren. In keeping with Marlene's wishes there will be a graveside service in the spring at a time to be announced. Arrangements are being made by Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Otsego Street, Ilion, New York. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, New York 13413. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home.
