Frankfort and Michigan Raymond James (Jim) Loomis, 46, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan passed away unexpectedly June 22, 2009. He was born June 4, 1963 in Ilion, New York, the son of Robert and Loraine Loomis, Frankfort, New York. Jim was a 1981 graduate of Sauquoit Valley Central School and he attended Herkimer County Community College and SUNY Buffalo. He was employed by Fire Equipment Company, Inc. of Detroit, Michigan for about the last 10 years in a job that he found both challenging and enjoyable. His hobbies were computers, cars and shooting and he was a great father to his daughter "Rissa". Besides his parents, Jim is survived by his daughter, Larissa and former wife Julie of Warren, Michigan, a grandmother, Mary Seymour of Ilion, a brother Robert, a sister and brother in law Linda and Anton Soukup and their 2 sons all of Virginia as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Michael, grandparents Jerry and Mildred Loomis and Kenneth Seymour. In keeping with Jim's wishes there are no calling hours and funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.
