Ilion Marion Leon Edick 101, passed away on Friday October 9, 2009 at Valley Health Services in Herkimer. Marion was born in Little Falls on May 16, 1908 the daughter of the late Dennis and Anna (Pauth) Leon. On August 12, 1926 she married Ralph D. Edick in Herkimer. Together they owned and operated Edick Appliances in Ilion. Ralph passed away on December 16, 1986. Marion was a member of the Ilion United Methodist Church, the Evening Star Chapter - Order of Eastern Star, Ilion Order of the Ameranth and the Eastern Star Bowling League. Marion is survived by her daughter Eileen McIntyre of Ilion, three grandchildren Denise and her husband Robert Grier Gibsonia, PA, Kimberly Montez of Daleville AL, and Shari Wengert of St. Cloud, FL. Four great grandchildren Steven and Brian Grier, Tabitha Montez-Cole and Donald Montez. Three great great grandchildren Devon Montez, Areva and Rachon Cole. She was pre deceased by her brothers and sisters Ruth, Earl, Frank, Charles, Anna, Joseph, Gertrude, William, George, Bessie, Lena, Irene and Theresa. Funeral services for Marion will be held on Sunday October 11, 2009 at 11:30 am at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego St. Ilion, New York. Reverend Robert Wollaber will officiate. Interment will follow in the Armory Hill Cemetery in Ilion. Friends may call on Sunday from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral, at the funeral home.
