Ilion Date Line Eleanor R. Ward 98, formerly of 190 West Street Ilion, passed away Tuesday August 9, 2011 at St. Luke's Home, New Harford . Eleanor was born March 25, 1913 in Parkersburg, West Virginia the daughter of the late Wade and Georgianna (Jackson) Duskey, and received her education in Parkersburg schools. She was married to Hector Rothwell for several years, he passed away in 1961. In 1963 she married Elmer Ward, he passed away in 1963. Mrs. Ward was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, in Ilion where she worked for many years as secretary. She was also a member of the Council of Churches in Ilion. Eleanor is survived by two sons and a daughter in law; James Rothwell of Marblehead, MA, and David and Tina Rothwell of Poland, NY; two daughters and a son in law, Nancy Sheehan of Cobleskill, NY and Kathy and Daniel De Clerck of Arkport, NY; a sister in law Nadine Duskey of Parkersburg, West Virginia, also 9 grand children and 12 great grand children. She was predeceased by a brother Dean Duskey. Funeral services for Eleanor to be held on Thursday August 11, 2011 at 1:30 PM in the First Presbyterian Church, Morgan Street Ilion, with Rev Victor McKusick officiating, interment will follow in the Armory Hill Cemetery Ilion. In keeping with Eleanor's wishes there are no calling hours. Friends are asked to consider memorials to the Ilion First Presbyterian Church or the St. Luke's Home in Eleanor's memory.
