Ilion Olga Schorer, 80, of 106 Beebe Road, Ilion, passed away on Saturday July 2, 2011 at Faxton- St Luke's Medical Center. Olga was born January 14, 1931 in Grotan, NY, the daughter of the late Franklin and Dorothy Wetzel La Rouche, and received her education in the Ilion and Mohawk schools; on December 27, 1947 she was united in marriage with Harold Schorer. Mrs. Schorer was employed as a ward clerk at Herkimer Hospital, and as a receptionist with Dr Dennis's office and Dr. Bizianani's office retiring several years ago. Olga was a member of the United Methodist Church, past member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Cedarville Fire Dept. Ladies Aux., she enjoyed home making, and was a very artistic person enjoying knitting, crocheting, and painting. Olga is survived by her husband Harold, a daughter Sharon Seamon of Ilion, two sons and daughters in law William and Karen Schorer of Millers Mills, Craig and Sherri Schorer of North Utica, her grand children Jennifer Humphrey and her Fianc Fred Myers, Lisa and Gary Holland, Shiloh Schorer and William Schorer, her great grand children Samantha Humphrey, Maeghan Myers, Reese Holland, and Seth Schorer. In keeping with Mrs. Schores's wishes there will be no calling hours or public funeral service. Friends are asked to consider memorials to the America Cancer Society in Olga's memory Arrangements are with the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home Inc. 100 Otsego Street Ilion.
